Synopsis
Lead by Levi Stubbs, and backed up by the Funk Brothers, this was The Four Tops’ last album to be produced by Motown’s Holland/Dozier/Holland team. Half of Reach Out’s 12 cuts were Top 20 singles, including the number one title track. Released in 1967, the LP also features the hits ‘Standing in the Shadows of Love’, ‘Bernadette’, ‘7-Rooms of Gloom’, ‘If I Were a Carpenter’ and ‘Walk Away Renée’, as well as more contemporary covers of The Monkees’ ‘Last Train To Clarksville’ and ‘I’m A Believer’.
