Elton John
The Captain & The Kid
Original Release: 2006
Synopsis
The Captain And The Kid is the most recent collaboration between Elton John and long-term lyricist Bernie Taupin, a partnership that has endured for more than 40 years across 30 albums. Released in 2006, this autobiographical album is something of a sequel to 1975’s ‘Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy’. A Top Ten hit in the UK, where it peaked at #6, and with a creditable #18 showing in the States, and selling three and a half million copies across the globe, it is also notable as the first album to feature both Elton and Taupin on the front cover.
