Blind Faith
Blind Faith
Original Release: 1969
Synopsis
Blind Faith was the late 60s super-group comprising of Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker, late of the recently split Cream, Steve Winwood of the Spencer Davis Group and Traffic fame, and completed by Ric Grech from Family. Featuring ‘In The Presence Of the Lord’, ‘Sea Of Joy’ and ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’, this, their sole record, topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic upon its 1969 release, and according to Rolling Stone magazine “brought me out of my listening chair, mouth wide open in awe”. It was banned in many countries, and often issued with an alternative record jacket due mainly to the controversy courting cover image of a young, naked girl. Never fulfilling their initial potential, the legendary band broke up within a year of forming.
